The best part about living in Dallas is the variety of cuisines you can try. And we’re not talking about your classic Americanized versions with twists, we’re talking about authentic immigrants who open their restaurants and share their culture through delicious food and tradition.

They are proud to serve delicious kebabs near Dallas in an elevated yet familiar setting. This is one of those hidden Plano gems. If you are ready to indulge in the experience, keep reading.

What’s So Different About Their Cuisine

Alvin, the lead in the kitchen for over a year now, has elevated this place with fine touches in presentation and customer service. But the recipe remains the same. Since 2017, this family-style Afghan restaurant has prided itself on serving “the best kebabs” in the area. What makes them very special is their passion for food through consistency, tradition, and evolution.

Express Kabob is not just any Afghan cuisine; their grilled kabobs are made to order, and with house ingredients, everything is fresh. And you don’t have to worry about consistency; every visit will have the same dedication and flavor. Their comforting meals and balanced plates make them the perfect spot to dine in with family or even friends.

About Their Menu

We got a spread meant for a king… let me break it down.

Starting with their appetizers, we had their fresh mantu (imagine little dumplings with sauce). They were carefully folded, and every bite felt so delicate because they were wrapped so neatly that you almost felt bad to eat them. Their chapli beef was also fantastic.

For our mains, the beef (or chicken) kabob platter was absolutely amazing; massive and full of flavor. Their kabob wraps are something lighter yet still packed with flavor. The kabuli pulao was a great surprise for us, cooked to perfection.

We loved the variety, from easy-to-eat meals to big portions made for sharing with family. But we’re not done yet… the star of the show had to be their tender lamb, simply divine and one of the house favorites.

There is so much to try, and we can assure you that their whole menu is really meant to be shared with your loved ones, so you can try a little bit of everything (highly recommended).

Their flavors are awesome, but their prices? Even better. With most dishes ranging between $15–$25, and trust me, once you see the size of the portions, you’ll understand just how much value you’re getting.
