Port Coffee Co. Is the Yemeni-Inspired Café We Can’t Get Enough Of

We’re always looking for cafés that feel like more than just a stop for caffeine, and Port Coffee Co. in Irving is exactly that. This Yemeni-inspired café brings something truly special to the table, blending deep coffee heritage with a modern, welcoming space. From the moment we walked in, it felt like more than just a coffee shop. It felt like a place built around connection, culture, and comfort, where every drink has a story behind it.

What makes Port Coffee stand out is how it blends trendy café culture with something more unique. Yes, you’ll find your go-to lattes and refreshers, but they also offer authentic Yemeni coffee, which brings a deeper, richer coffee experience you don’t see everywhere. It’s that mix of familiar and new that keeps things exciting.

The Atmosphere

As soon as we stepped inside, we could tell this place had a rhythm of its own. Every table felt alive in a different way. Some people were focused with laptops open, others were catching up with friends, and a few were just sitting back and enjoying a warm, freshly made drink. The café has this calm, easygoing energy, but there’s still a soft buzz in the air that makes it feel exciting and full of life.

The space itself is clean and modern, with cozy seating that makes it easy to settle in for a while. It’s the kind of spot where you can spend hours without realizing it. Whether you’re studying, working remotely, or just taking a break, it adapts to whatever you need. And if you’re looking for something more private, they even have a conference room, which is perfect for meetings or focused work sessions.

What We Ordered (and Loved)

We tried a little bit of everything, and every single item felt intentional and well crafted.

The Taro Iced Latte was not only beautiful but also smooth and lightly sweet, making it a fun and refreshing pick. The Pumpkin Iced Latte gave us those cozy, spiced flavors in a chilled form that felt perfect for any time of year.

The Mango Dragonfruit Refresher was bright, fruity, and super refreshing, especially if you’re not in the mood for coffee.

For something classic, the Hot Latte was perfectly balanced and comforting. And if you’re looking for a treat, the Tiramisu Latte is a must. It’s rich, slightly chocolatey, and feels like dessert in a cup.

Pastries & Sweets

The pastry selection here is just as impressive.

The Spinach & Cream Cheese Pastry was flaky, warm, and savory, while the Tomato Basil Pastry delivered that classic, comforting flavor combination.

For something sweet, the Lemon Citrus Cake was light and refreshing, and the Date Cake stood out with its rich, naturally sweet flavor that paired perfectly with coffee.

Pricing, Deals & What to Expect

Port Coffee Co. hits that sweet spot when it comes to pricing. Most drinks fall between $5 and $7, and pastries are typically around $4 to $6, which makes it feel approachable without sacrificing quality. It’s the kind of place that works whether you’re just stopping in for a simple, reliable coffee or in the mood to try something a little more creative and unique.

They also sell their own coffee beans and tea mixes, which is such a nice touch if you want to bring the experience home. Options like Yemeni coffee beans and specialty blends like Adeni tea are available for around $18, making it easy to keep your new favorites stocked in your own kitchen.
