A Spot That Feels as Rich as Home
We can all agree that DFW has numerous Vietnamese restaurants, which have led us to try their wonderful cuisine. Full of rich dishes that seem simple at first glance, but they are actually packed with flavors that just makes you feel good.
At Pho Xom, their philosophy is clear in every dish. It’s one of those spots where “simplicity” shines, and every bite feels intentional. But don’t let that trick you, because these recipes come from generations of knowledge and techniques that require time and precision to be executed correctly. Whether you’re a pho lover or just exploring Vietnamese food, this is a place that delivers on both flavor and experience. Perfect for a rainy day, a slow Sunday, or just a quick connection with flavors that keep you coming back for more.
“Xóm” translates to neighborhood in Vietnamese, because that’s what Tran & Tyler are building: a tight-knit community centered around nostalgic, bold, and deeply comforting pho.
A Hidden Gem Worth Knowing in DFW
Pho Xom is one of those places you might not immediately hear about. It’s a little bit hidden, and finding parking might seem tricky, but don’t worry; there’s a whole section to park for free in the apartment complex next to the restaurant. Once you find it, the next time you visit, you’ll have no excuses not to go and get a bowl of pho.
Known for its authentic recipes and generous portions, Pho Xom has built a strong local following. The space is casual and welcoming, focusing more on the food than anything else. Service is quick, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the food is… well, let’s dive into that later.
It’s the kind of place you go when you want something reliable, comforting, and consistently good. It always delivers taste.
The Star of the Menu: Hearty Pho
At Pho Xom, the highlight is exactly what you’d expect: pho done right. With different variations and ingredients, you can pick your favorite and enjoy a comforting meal. The broth is rich and aromatic, no surprise after being simmered for 12 hours. A preparation like that takes time, effort, and consistency, which is why every bite feels thoughtfully prepared.
Each bowl comes with fresh herbs, bean sprouts, and lime on the side so you can enjoy it however you like, along with the traditional sauces you’d expect from a Vietnamese restaurant. We strongly recommend trying it even if you’re not familiar; trust us, that’s what they’re there for. Your bowl becomes the canvas of an immersive experience that isn’t complicated, just delicious.
What We Tried
Beyond pho, Pho Xom offers a variety of classic Vietnamese dishes that are just as worth trying. Their fresh spring rolls are light, refreshing, and the perfect start before your bowl of noodles. But if you’re in the mood for something crispy, go ahead and order the egg rolls; golden on the outside with a flavorful, savory filling inside.
Our favorite pho was the Signature Phở with pounded eye round, brisket, flat rice noodles, green onions, and black pepper. The Combination Phở, loaded with tendon, flank, house meatball, eye round, brisket, and the same rich toppings, was just as good.
Honestly, with a broth like that, pretty much the whole menu is a solid 10/10. And stay tuned to their social media because they’re working on a vegan pho option, which we already know a lot of people are going to appreciate. Their prices range between $10 to $20, so it’s definitely a spot that won’t break the bank.
And you can’t leave without trying their drinks; we got the Coconut Coffee and Vietnamese Yogurt, and both were so authentic and flavorful they’d honestly make us come back just to grab them on the go.
Why Pho Xom Should Be on Your List
Whether you’re looking for a quick lunch, a casual dinner, or just a comforting bowl of pho, Pho Xom is a spot worth saving. The owners are incredibly kind, and you can truly feel the passion and care they’ve put into this place.
Here, it’s not about being trendy or over-the-top; it’s about good food, executed perfectly. From the rich broths simmered for hours to the fresh ingredients, generous portions, and warm service, everything comes together to create a consistently satisfying experience.
If you’re in DFW and craving something warm, flavorful, and reliable, Pho Xom is definitely one to add to your list. Trust us, it’ll become one of your favorites after just one visit. You can find them at 2700 Old Denton Rd, Unit 115, Carrollton, TX 75007.
